Energy reduction and carbon footprints are important issues in retail today. Our client decided to combine these sustainable goals with significant cost reductions. Nedap Luxon helped them to achieve this objective.

Together, we fulfilled the rebate requirements, improved store lighting and reduced energy usage by 40%. Old magnetic ballasts and 400W HID lamps were replaced with state-of-the-art Nedap Luxon electronic ballast with 250W lamps. Due to the outstanding performance of the Nedap Luxon electronic ballast 250-2000W, light maintenance was improved significantly, and the high-frequency Luxon ballast improved the light depreciation characteristic by more than 15%!

Lighting on a need-to-use basis
To maximize the energy saving capabilities, Nedap added movement sensors to the individual light fixtures throughout the store. After installation of the Luxon units the light levels rose above the targets levels and energy consumption dropped to 60% compared to the previous situation. Nedap created a need-to-use lighting structure that generates positive effects in every possible way.
